زمانہ جیت جاتا ہے محبت ہار جاتی ہے

ہم ہی میں تھی کوئی بات یاد نہ تم کو آسکے
تم نے ہمیں بھلا دیا ہم نہ تمہیں بھلا سکے
“There was something in us that you couldn’t remember
You erased us, and we couldn’t forget you”
دل میں اتر کر آنکھوں سے بہہ گیا
تیرا غم بھی تیری طرح بے وفا نکلا
“It penetrated my heart and flowed through my eyes
Your sorrow, too, turned out to be as disloyal as you”
ہم نے کردار کی عظمت کو گرنے نہیں دیا
دھوکے تو بہت کھائے مگر دھوکا نہیں دیا
“We did not let the dignity of our character fall
We endured many betrayals but did not give betrayal”
آج وہ شخص بھی کھو دیا میں نے
جس کی وجہ سے تھوڑی زندگی باقی تھی
“Today, I lost that person too
Because of whom there was a little life left”
رہنے کو سدا دہر میں آتا نہیں کوئی
تم جیسے گئے ایسے بھی جاتا نہیں کوئی

Just like you left, no one departs the same way”
تو اس طرح سے مرے ساتھ بے وفائی کر
کہ تیرے بعد مجھے کوئی بے وفا نہ لگے

لیکن ذہنی بربادی کا گناہ نہیں بخشوں گا
“The pain of leaving may be forgiven
But I will not forgive the sin of mental destruction”
وہ تو جان لے کے بھی ویسا ہی نیک نام رہا
عشق کے باب میں سب جرم ہمارے نکلے
“He maintained his good reputation even after taking my life
In the court of love, all the blame fell on us”
کتنی جھوٹی ہوتی ہیں محبت کی قسمیں
دیکھو تم زندہ ہو میں بھی زندہ ہوں
“How false are the promises of love
See, you are alive, and I am alive too”
بہت یاد کرتا ہے کوئی ہمیں دل سے
نہ جانے دل سے یہ وہم کیوں نہیں جاتا
“Someone remembers us a lot from the heart
Don’t know why this illusion doesn’t fade from the heart”
روٹھنے سے کیا ہو گا ، اے بے وفا
آؤ مل کر معذرت کر لیں

اب اداسی سے میری بنتی ہے

تیری بے رخی پے کوئی اعتراض نہیں ہمیں
کس حال میں ہے ہم اتنا تو پوچھ لیا کرو
