دوست ملتا ہے بڑی مشکل سے

کوئی نہیں آئیگا میری زندگی میں تیرے سوا
اک موت ہی ہے جس کا ہم وعدہ نہیں کرتے

جیسے کوئی چھوڑ نہیں سکتا اپنا مذہب
ایسا ہی کچھ عقیدہ رکھتے ہیں ہم تیرے لئے

آتش عشق وہ جہنم ہے
جس میں فردوس کے نظارے ہیں

محسوس کر ہمیں خود میں
تیری سانسوں میں رہتے ہیں ہم

جو اختیار تمہیں ہے سب کو تھوڑی ہے

وہ کہتے ہیں عشق کی وضاعت کریں
ہم کہتے ہیں فقط محبوب کی اطاعت کریں
